Back to your original request, I've got a donut I'll give you for free if you come get it (after I find it, I think it's in my parent's attic).

It's a whole lot cheaper and more fun to crank it up every two to three days and drive it around the block...then put it back. IMO...

Agreed. If you don't take it off insurance, just drive it for a few miles every few weeks even.

Our winters haven't been so bad that you can't find 4 days over the next few months to take it out for a spin and keep everything working.

I've done that for 7 years now. Even if I 'store' it at my Mother's house to free up garage space, I get there monthly to start it and drive it a little.

I'm dailying the Accord now, but the S goes out on sunny dry days so far in the cold weather. As long as you're not pushing the limits and just cruising in the cold weather, you'll be fine.

i agree; i have two cars and a scooter that hibernate in the winter. i have a battery charger, and charge when necessary. then i start each one up and drive around the block every once in awhile...

reminds me that nice weather will return...

I am in the exact situation. My parents let me use their garage to store the S. As I live in an apt 90 miles away. I most likely can only start the car once a month. I figure I would save the trouble and let it sleep until spring.

I've read a little about starting the car once a month in the cold weather isn't good for the car??? is this true?

To everybody with the kind offer, thanks alot. I will PM you guys soon.

Starting the car and letting it sit is very bad for the car. When you start the car and just let it sit the only thing that is benefiting is the engine. Other things such as the trans, diff, tires, seals, bearings etc etc are not properly warming up and being lubricated. Not to mention that the battery wont even recharge itself from the juice used to start up. If you decide to fire the car up once a month, take it on a cruise and warm everything up, your car will love you for it
