Default Dyno

Hi guys and Gals,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that performs Vafc tuning on the dyno or would be interested in a dyno day somewhere in D.V.??????

They told me 110-150 bucks an hour labor charge, they weren't very friendly over the phone ans didn't reall seem to enthused about doing my car. i'm assuming that 2-3 runs on dyno and a baseline should be enough to tune it. Although it does depend on the knowledge of those who tune the car. Nevertheless I've heard only good things from other s2ki members about the company. I believe Anthonymv has some experience with them if he would be so kind to share.

There is a place in Willow Grove PA that makes fast drag civic's...I can't recall their name right now... I'll give them a call. I'll see if they'll give a discount for group tuning and dyno's

Modified Motorsports is the way to go. I have delt with them a lot and they are very honest. Right now (literally), they are tuning godreau2029's turbo s2k (SpeedCraft with lower compression JE pistons) with the AEM EMS stand alone. The owner is Tony as he is an awesome guy. He is a Honda tech and went to the S2000 training session thing when they first came out. There's also a guy named Donny. Their dyno is a Mustang dyno so keep that in mind. For example, at 8psi Julio is putting out 305 I think which would be 330ish maybe on a dynojet.

DO NOT go to that place I think you are talking about beroznikmal. I believe you are talking about IMPO Performance. I heard they had one of the fastest drag civics and they did. So I recommended my customer godreau2029 there for his turbo install. They took more than 3 weeks and they scratched up his brand new molded J's bumper bc they put it on the ground. They also scratched his fenders. Also, they didnt tune it properly an it was only running 3 psi. 20mins after we left (and we had to go back because it wasn't finished after 3 weeks) all hell broke lose on his car and it was driving like shit. Turns out they didnt secure the intercooler piping correctly and the pipes fell off! They also treated us with extreme disrespect and even put his car on their website without permission. They charged $1700 for a turbo install! Modified charges less than $1000. They dont have a dyno either. They spend more time on their drag civic and their only good mechanic (sav or sal i forget) spends so much time on his drag car he doesnt have time for other cars and they put inexperienced people on the other cars.

so, go to Modified Motorsports if you dont mind the drive to Harrisburg. I'll be going up this week to pick up Julio's car if anyone wants to tag along.

also, Tony is very knowledgeable and very nice. You will never get him over the phone. I too have spoken with a few guys there that are not friendly but I know they do the job well and as long as Tony is there (which is always), Julio and I have felt very comfortable. Usually they are extremely busy and sound rushed or bothered over the pnone. I hope your experinece goes well too. Ask for Tony and tell him Julio sent you there.

Thanks for the advice Tony, it was IMPO Developement that I was thinking of... When are you heading up to Harrisburg?

Speaking of Scratches , I had recently sent my car to Conicelli Honda for service. They Scratched up my left fender pretty bad. I have called them on it and have scheduled a meeting on Friday. We'll see what happens....

IMPO Developement, perfromnace, guess they changed their name slightly. don't go there. Julio's car is being tuned up to 15psi and they said it should be done by Wednesday so Ill be heading up there on Wednesday hopefully. Then I'll see what 350whp feels like, haha. Obvioulsy have them repaint it very well for free and dont accept it unless it matches perfectly and looks like it did before.
