if you go matte black, try and see about getting a satin clear. might have less shine than regular clear. regular clear will make the MB paint shinier. Waxing will do this too. make sure you do your home work on this one Jeremy.

Find a good shop who has done this before. Also, make sure that it can have paint correction/detailing done with out affecting the matte look.

Thats exactly what i was thinking a matte black with a satin clear. this would be the best option in my opinion, but then again i am no paint expert.

my question though, would wetsanding a satin clear make it appear to be a gloss clear?

i saw those at tony lukes, they look sick.

is there still residue or whatever it was on the area where the old mirrors were?

Yea there is some reside on the pass side, but the drivers side is a slightly different color underneath due to some paint work by the previous owner. all of which will be taken care of as soon as i can get the car in the shop.


on a side note, anyone got an extra car they want to let me use while mine is in the shop?
