FlashPro Tuning question
I have a test pipe on the way (original cat desintegrated), havent installed it yet. Currently I have a K&N intake and I have installed FlashPro and checked the aftermarket intake setting. I am happy with the difference so far, it feels much smoother. My question is, once the test pipe is installed, should I take it to a tuning shop to have it tuned, or should i just enable the test pipe setting in FlashPro and be done with it? I just wonder if its worth an extra 200 bucks to have it professionally tuned if there isnt much more to get out of it other then telling the software what I have. Sorry if i sound like a noob, I am new to tuning. I don't plan any other upgrades for the car performance wise, so I just want to make sure a final tune is worth it or not.
damn you are correct, i just checked, no test pipe setting. i can do a close loop for the 02 sensor but thats it. sigh guess i'll do an evans etune. i just want to make sure i get my moneys worth out of what i have, but at the same time not spend too much. a header and exhaust is way out of budget for me at this point, plus I am already happy with the car now that all the mechanical bugs from the previous owner are fixed.
I have an 06' and got a CEL when I installed my Berk HFC. I went to autozone and bought a pack of 2 defoulers. No more CEL!
You have to drill one of the defoulers out to 1/2 inch I think it is. Google it and you'll find some great write-ups.

Ps. Sorry for the thread hijack.
I don't believe there is a test pipe setting on flashpro either. I Strongly recommend contact a member off s2ki - Gernby he does e-tunes foe $100 bucks and from the reviews on here they usually are on par if not better than a dyno tune. There are also plenty of reviews on here from members that have had it done. I'm planning on having him do mine as soon as I can find a used FlashPro
Haha back from the dead. I guess I should have updated my own thread. I had my car tuned at R/T tuning, they head a special on a dyno tune if you bought the FlashPro there. I put down 226whp and 163tq with the stock exhaust, test pipe and intake. From the base tune that was already there, it wasnt much more then a few extra hp and tq, but the vtec crossover is super smooth now and I've really been enjoying it. Id say the base tune is pretty damn good, and closed loop setting is enough to get by if you have a test pipe. It all depends if you want to spend an extra 200 for a dyno tune to get it perfect.
