after a few days i still like this game. however...
1. the level system is stupid. before i would bang out all the license tests and go from there. now i have to wait for a certain level to go for my ia license. it seems like they are forcing you to do all the races. i dont think i have ever done the vitz race or lightweight k cup. i dont care about racing around in some slow econo crap box for little money.

2. load times and load times. i sat thru the 30 something minutes to install it, and still seems to take a long time to load certain things. and last night i had the game freeze on me twice. first time was during a car delivery and then going into a race. just kept loading and saying saving game. gave it a few min and nothing happened.

i can look past those issues tho. i didnt have high expectations for this game. gran turismo has been generally the same since the 1st. i do wish/hope more cars can be made premiums. i want my damn amuse r1 and crx i had in 4. those were unstoppable.

 

Yes. Load time could be a little annoying sometimes. To level up. just finish those special events. You could fetch a lot of Cr. from those events too.

 

So far I'm still liking it. I got home after the holiday weekend on Monday and I'm up to Level 7. I also started out with the EK CTR. It's won everything in the Beginner races easily.

I'm playing this game too much. Level 20 aspec and 20 bspec.

Need to save atleast 3 million creds and some luck to buy a "historic" race car from the used shop to finish some expert races.

Gold in all race up to expert class. Most special events gold as well.
I didn't even do a single license test yet lol! I used to do them religiously for the first 5 games.

 

how far has everyone made it?

I stuck on extreme gt series.

 

Is there a mode separate from the "career" mode where you can just jump in to ANY car in the whole game, on ANY track and just go for it?

 

There is arcade mode?

I am on lvl 13, and hm.. still at amateur series. don't have much time to play.
