I spoke to the gentleman personally, very nice guy but he seems to have no clue how to handle the sale of this item. Also his asking price and his attachment to the rarity of the item is way higher than the actual value of it. Worth about 2200$ not 2800$. His price is merely set by way he sees other tops go for not what his is actually worth. So I would even low ball te 2200$ offer. Good luck interested parties!

Even 2800 is cheap compared to what people are asking here in the main for sale section - most are asking around $4000 here.

I talked to the guy as well, through email. He's already dropped the price if it counts for anything. He started at $3500 a week ago.

Something seemed a little off when I talked to him. Almost like he's never even owned and S2000, but somehow found himself to be the owner of a hardtop.

One of the biggest issues I brought up with him was the very LARGE scratches on the top. Most people selling them have kept them in mint condition. Seems like he's had this one just laying around...

I'm definitely interested in it, but not for $2800.

It's worth 2800, painting a hardtop is not that expensive, but it sounds stolen.....he doesn't know about s2000......rear latches but no rear catchers......

I sent an email.

For the right price, it's worth storing in my basement.

I've talked to this guy as well. His father supposedly owned an S and never took the hardtop?
I got the guy down to 1700 but never fell through with the sale.
