Hey i'm glad your ok and it was just you in the car. I'm also glad you hit a wall and not someone else.

Dude, I don't want to be a d*ck but WHY were you driving without winter tires on? I'm pretty sure those aren't all seasons you had wrapped on the volks...

I know how your feeling. I once did a 720 up around Harrisburg coming back to Philly; temp in the teens; ice and snow on the ground; worn out RE040s on Rims. I had just bought my Rio and was driving up from Atlanta (yeah, thats right. All the way from Atlanta). Made a few stops along the way.

After the spin out, I was facing opposite traffic. Well the only traffic at the time was a huge tractor trailer barreling my way. Needless to say I did swing the car around long enough for the truck to pass only to spin out and do a 360 AGAIN while going no more than 5mph.

After that day... I've always put winters on my cars. Including the fit. Lessoned learned, and I'm a preacher for winter tires.

It was one of those, I can put off till next week type of things, plus it was one of those "I couldn't take the SUV cause my girlfriend had it so I was forced to drive this one." It's not the first time running summers in winter. Last year I had bald S02's and I was mostly fine. Anyways, not much of an excuse.

Sport car tire called me back and said the rims aren't fixable. So now should I even bother to try with Wheel collision...

I don't think winter tires would have helped in this situation, there doesnt appear to be any snow on the ground. This is just another case of wreckless driving (like in my case a couple weks back,) 95% of the time you can get away with it in the S but when the conditons arent perfect and you drive like a maniac this kind of stuff is bound to happen.

I'm not saying your a maniac! but I'm going to go out on a short limb and guess that you were driving a bit to aggressive for the conditions?

As for your rims, just get new ones, the one picture of your rim doest look like it can be repaired.

Good Luck
