let me tell you ive been an eagles fan my whole life and so have my parents (im 22) and i have never watched a game quite like this one. words cannot express the joy i feel about the outcome of that game

OK, a little to say. This reminds me of the game vs the Niners about 8 years ago, and I believe a playoff game against the Vikings 5 or 6 years ago. Big, 20+ point leads in both, only to squander and lose both games.

Historically, we get a lead and can't finish things off. We tend to let teams back into games, repeatedly. What did we need to do there... let's see...

Tackle Celek! Playing prevent like defense to avoid the big play, and you go for the INT? Jackhole! Stay on the guy and tackle him.

Stay low on Vick. Contained for 3.5 quarters. Ward gets a clean shot, and jumps to block a fake? Vick ducks and runs for what, 45 yards? You don't need to stop the pass, just knock him on his ass again.

Get a friggin first down. Your offense is on the field. If they stay there, the Eagles don't get the ball back. Simple as that.

I don't blame the kicker at all. Whatever downside of a low line drive was given back when Jackson fumbled the kick and had to stop and pick it up. 10 other guys missed him.

Blame the defense, the offense, the coaches, whoever. Shameful and unfreakenbelievable.

 

I actually understand. About 15-18 years back, when I was a big time fan, I watched the Eagles go into the 4th quarter with, I believe, a 24 point lead over Minn., only to allow 28 points and lose.

This was a bad week for NY fans, first Lee and then the Eagles.
