I voted, I leave on full coverage even though it will sit in the garage but for those warm winter one off days I want to be able to go out.

last year i had bigbird hibernate to save me money about 2k to be exact.
and if you tell the insurance that you are garaging it you have to tell them where you are garaging it how many miles on it ect. i reduced insurance to comprehensive only. and why wouldnt you drive it with only comp on it because its illegal in nj thats less than the min required by law in nj at least, but when it is considered to be garaged you can do this under the circumstances that it is NOT driven. plus there are to many idiots out there and its not worth the chance.

this year i am still on the fence, i switched companies and my insurance was cut litterly in half when i did so the money aspect isnt as bad and i only have 2 more insurance payments and i am done until april. ive been meaning to call my insurance company to see how much i would save by doing this but havent gotten around to it yet, to see if its worth it. but then again it would be nice to get a check back for the "unused" portion of my insruance. due to the nice weather lately i am thinking i may just leave her on full coverage but we will see come the next couple of weeks. it sucks on the nice days when you wanna take the car out, but the crappy days def outweight the nice days so it comes down to how much money you want to save.

on and to comment on the earlier question about payments i own the car outright so i am able to do this, in nj by law if you do not own the car outright then you can not take it off of full coverage, to much of a liability.

now im pissed, so i decided to call njcure and when i fist got the policy i specifically asked if i woudl be able to drop all insurance except comp and they said yes, i just called and they said well we dont have anything like that the only thing that we can do is take off the collision! wtf?!?! thatll only save me 500.00 which does eliminate my last 2 payments, but is it worth it to garage it for the winter now since i wont be saving that much......damn companies i hate when they lie i always make sure to ask specific questions then someone gives me the wrong ****ing answer grrrrrrrrrrr......geico was MUCH easier on this aspect all i did was call them and they said allright and it was done with and my check was in the mail for the balance they owed me! but they were more expensive. i guess its a trade off customer service for a lesser payment.

NJ SUCKS Cojones!! Man I can't wait to graduate from college, and move the F out of here. I know that other states have their own laws but I'm getting a littel tired of this one.

No snow tires??? Man you're asking for it! Tried that with my 944 and made it about 50ft before I gave up.

Snow tires FTW!

Or I'll just work from home if it's really bad!

Web designer FTW!

My S2000 hibernates. Both my other cars have snow tires for this season.

Thanks for this thread because it reminded me that I still need to call my insurer and drop my coverage down to only comprehensive.

I've been thinking about lowering my coverage for the winter, but I'm sure I'll get the itch to drive it on one of those freakly warm winter days.
My sentiments exactly!
