How do insurance companies handle hint and runs? Am I going to have to pay out my $500 collision deductible?

I would assume so, best bet may be calling the insurance company.

And question two is would you put an AP2 rear bumper on an otherwise stock AP1?

Regretfully, the answer is yes. If the person stayed, you would be getting the deductible from them. Just be glad that you aren't in NJ. ANY accident (even a hit and run) moves you to a "new and different" class.
New class=premium increase

Did you get the new exhaust tips too, or do you have aftermarket exhaust?

I didnt file a report. One of my coworkers asked me about it today...I hadn't even noticed it so I dont really even know when or where it happened. Im guessing it was when I was in Baltimore over the weekend. I dont know if I should even file with insurance or not since its just the rear bumper. It cant be much more than $500.

My car was near totaled in an accident so I did an AP2 rear conversion including the bodypan. I switched to a Comptech Ap2 at that time.

yeah your going to have to pay the 500$, but just talk to your body shop and have them factor that into the cost of the repair.

the thing with a hit and run is that their is no proof of the accident, just your word. its a shaddy claim, but you pay for insurance so they have to honor it.
