it is a tough call. 3 because we currently have 3, but we've been doing just fine with one active CO.

anyone can post a meet and that happens regularly.

for the sake of being simpler, i voted 2,

Frank, i was gonna leave this up for about a week and let it have time to be voted on but what do you think we should do once a # is decided. should we stick with that number or have nominations and then let people see who wants to be CO and decide on the number at that point, using this poll as more of a gauge?

Once the community decides on a # of CO's it needs, the community needs to nominate potential CO's. That would include the current 3 CO's also, we would have to be nominated by members to have any chance of running for a CO spot again.

3 because:

a--geography
b--a little less time commitment because of shared responsibilities
c--if 1 CO would have to step down because of other commitments or priorities it doesn't throw all the load onto one person.

Size wise - 2, Geographically - 3. IMO geographically trumps size due to the fact that a CO would probably be more willing to organize something closer to home rather than closer to the population centers.

I voted for 3.

absolutely on point tom. delval covers quite a large area and we have members not only in the middle, but also in every corner it seems. having three active co's that are preferably spread out somewhat in the community should strike a good balance - enough to share the workload and help grow the community but without having too many cooks in the kitchen, so to speak...
