arrite guys, soooo i had a huuuuge date planned for this girl that i met a little while ago...I had everything planned out, it was going to be a beautiful day saturday, a great day for backroads driving. The resturant that i was going to take her out to dinner at was located waaay back in the country, which involved a wonderful 15-20min drive on some winding country roads. I was so stoked to take her out, and i really wanted to impress her, so I spent all day waxing and caring for stookie's paint so that she looked brand new. Altogether it took me about 5 hours by hand and she looked immaculate. Well, needless to say, i wanted to make sure that I remember the route to the resturant so that I wouldn't get us lost on the way to dinner and mess up the date. I'm loving the day, the drive, and the thought of the evening. I come up to a stop sign where a dirt/gravel road meets up with my path. At this stop sign, a huge Ford pickup (lifted obviously) pulls up with enormous tires, and two cocky rednecks. I didnt want to let them go (obviously i didnt want to be behind this giant truck in my low s2k) so i began to pull out before them. Suddenly, they floor it and the V8 propels this monster truck right by me and flings up countless rocks(...not stones, or pebbles, full fledged rocks!!!) right into my car..and they drive off laughing. I stop dead, get out of the car, and proceed to go psycho as i've just realized that my freshly waxed( not more than 30 mins ago) front end was just stoned like no other. Guys, my bumper is ruined, with chips not only in the paint, but indents in the damn plastic itself!!!!!!! and i hadn't even picked up the girl yet!!! i got the lisence plate, is there anything i can do!?!?!?!? I'm talking to someone about their spoon front end (which i've been wanting for awhile) but unless i get a loan from my parents (which is highly doubtful) i will be crap outta luck! HOW MUCH DOES THIS SUCK!!!

cliff notes: had a huge date, wanted to impress the girl, spent 5 hours waxing the car only to have my whole front bumper ruined by rocks from a hicks pickup not 30 minutes after i finished waxing..and before i picked up the girl...im screwed

Ya they prolly were just aholes messing with you because you had a s2000. I just know I am the kinda person that if I see soemone getting ready to cut me off or try to roll through a stop sign to beat me or whatever I make it very hard for them

 

File a police report, you can probably get their ins. co. to pay for it as negligence.
You can tell the cops that it was intentional.

 

Just get a new bumper, its not worth the aggravation nor the issue of them finding out your address if insurance is involved. You can get a new bumper for 280$ and an apr lip and call it a day.

 

Hey i agree with you that you should be angry, and at least they should not have been such punks about it.

However, next time just let them go and you can make your stop at the sign an extra long stop if you know what i mean.

I've been down this road before, it's ok to be passive.

I know a dude that paints and does a realy good job. He does side jobs for kids like us. He charged me only 120$ for my bumper and it needed bondo for chips and dents primer and paint. I was really happy with it You cant beat the price. shoot me a pm If you want his number.
