I Want To Join The S2000 Family
Hello to all!
Over the last 40 years I've owned (2) Datsun 240s, (1) Datsun 260, a 65 Corvette coupe and a painstakenly restored 69 Camaro - which I sold 2 years ago. I really miss having a fun car!
I've never owned a convertible but have always wanted one. I've decided to go after a car that is both fun and comfortable enough to drive as an occasional dd and maybe even hit up a few AutoX or track day functions - might even compete against my oldest son and his 2004 VW R32.
With that in mind I've test driven the following: Mercedes SLKs, BMW Z4s, Mazda Miatas, Audi TTs, Saturn Sky and of course an S2000. --- I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE S2000!!!
Now for the hard part, I really want one in Grand Prix White. Black or tan interior preferred - but open to any.
Any help in locating one would be really appreciated!
I'm located in Lancaster, PA - and would prefer to stay within a 500 mile radius.
WTB: Grand Prix White <75K miles, $15K budget (cash ready)
Thanks!
Doug
P.S. Is it OK to drive an S2000 and have your AARP card?

Welcome, it seems that white is by far the most desireable color, so it might be a tad harder to locate one, and you might have to pay a bit of a premium for one.
Good luck with your search, also make sure you check out the Cars For Sale subsection to see other member's cars posted for sale.
I had a 2008 R32 and the s2000 will definitely outperform it

Also check this link for the distribution of colors/interior colors.

seoul2k: Thanks for the offer to call. I will take you up on that!
suprmonky73: Thanks for the hello and the link to the colors/interiors data.
I had no idea that GPW/tan was such a small percentage! I guess my real challenge is finding one in white first. (modified original post) I would certainly entertain an interior color swap to get what I'm looking for. I've been checking the listings here mulitple times each day - as well as Craigslist, Autotrader, Car.com. etc.... GPW S2000s are few and far between! I've got my fingers crossed and will keep on looking.

Good luck with your search. After I totalled my silverstone a few years ago I searched for months for a GPW. Even drove down to Virginia Beach to look at one. (it was damaged and was not up to how it was described). I finally got frustrated and settled on NFR.
As much as I love my car, a year later and after having a baby I have to sell it.(it's for sale if you're interested!)

Heather and Ed's s2k is a great car to buy, owned by good enthusiasts who take care of their motors.
You want Red anyway!
I'd sacrifice color for piece of mind from previous owner.
Good luck with your search...I'll add white s2k to my nightly searches.
