Default Internet Papers

Ok, so its 2 in the morn, and i'm in the school library working on a philosophy paper (or trying to figure out what to write on, i haven't started yet). It's supposed to be a 7-8pg term paper on a critical theorist, and i'm supposed to critique their views. I've already had two presentations, one term paper, and 2 major exams this week, and i have a term paper due monday...and tuesday. I have had a total of 9 hrs of sleep in the past 3 days and probably wont sleep tonight either. School is rough .

Anyways I was looking around for sources on the web, to just give me general summaries, and i'm constantly coming across purchaseable term papers. I'll tell you what, at first i would have thought NO WAY, but they are starting to look very tempting....anyone ever use one of these papers, do they actually work?

by the way this thread is just an excuse for me to procrastinate more

No they do not, especially if you submit your paper online. All schools pretty much now run papers through a database of papers that will look for contextual similarities. If the paper is pre-written, then it WILL raise a big red flag, and you will be in big trouble (I'm not talking about just failing a course here).

There is very little tolerance for this kind of thing anymore. My suggestion if you really want to go in this sort of direction? Pay someone else to write your paper at your school (not from your class however). But again you have to trust that they will actually write a fresh one, not copy an old.

Personally I would just write one very quickly and shorter than the requirement if needed. Even if you end up failing the paper, but getting lets say a 50% on it. That's still 50% worth of the points weighted into your grade, which if you have done well on all the other assignments, shouldn't drop your grade more than 1 letter.

*EDIT* Before you read... Warning, there is a lot of information and reading to do. If you are pressed to write that paper, STOP READING and get to work! *EDIT*

This is quite an interesting situation...

The Paper

I had to do the same thing in college prep school. Except it was only 5 pages minimum. Twice. I chose Marxism (theoretical communism) and Theoretical Reasoning (Yes, that was my own idea). *Hint: Cite a lot of the theory that is important to YOU and anyones perceptive viewpoints. By doing this, you will take up about a page or two.
Although Marxism has got to be one of the most "perfect" ideas that have and will exist. There are quite a few things that can be added onto this to "re-assure" the fair distribution of communal wealth, but I wont give any away (*cough* creating an agency/system of assured equal redistribution of wealth in the population "controlled" (I hate that word) by the government *cough*).
Be creative. If you take a fancy of science and math, go with Albert Einstein and some of his less knows theories. If you like political situations, go with something like Marxism or Theoretical Market Socialism. Or perhaps you enjoy/take interest in the study of human reason, hop on the Theoretical Reasoning train (this is a very uncommon theory to comment on, but it will suprise the piss out of your professor ). Thats just to name a few.
Once again my friend, be creative, open minded (even if a "correction" is not quite what you agree on, but causes the theory to work it would be a great contribution to this paper YOU are writing. Most of all, have fun doing it. These papers arnt only meant for you to be graded on, but rather for you to learn you own thinking limits and boundaries of ideas. A really good way to come up with key points when writing a paper is to debate/converse the subject with a peer.

If you are a part of the very large percent in the population who doesnt know what Theoretical Reasoning and are little confused about what Theoretical Reasoning is, heres a quote...

He is deciding what to do. At about the same time, Albert's friend Betty tries to decide what route Albert will take. She thinks about what Albert has done before, what Albert likes in a route, and how much of a hurry Albert is in. Betty's reasoning is theoretical. She is trying to arrive at a belief about what Albert will do.
Thinking and forming an educated guess about a "thinker" (I need a better vocabulary) formed by previous actions/data.

"Buying a research paper" is not a very smart idea (unlike the paper that YOU are going to write ).

Would you like this for FIRST TIME plagiarism?

That doesnt sound too fun... Seeing that I have community service tomorrow 12/1 for a "detention cut" when I truly forgot about the detention. Just remember, consequences come from even the most innocent mistakes.

Sorry, I had a lot to say about this subject. And thanks for posting, this gave me a nice load to think about!

Peace, Kyle

(P.S None of what I wrote was plagiarism, I cited my sources!! Also, if you need someone to debate/converse a topic with, just PM me and I'll be happy to help you out, if I have the time available)

My Composition II teacher (which I quickly dropped because she turned out to be one of those I-Love-English-So-Much-It-Makes-Me-Horny types......please) wanted to use turnitin.com for papers and such. It would automatically give her a "level of plagiarism" on turned in papers, as well as links to which ones made it raise a flag.

Funny how school has this big "no cheating" attitude and such, but when you look out into the real world.......yeah. Not so much.
