Default kidney stones...OUCH!!!!!

came home last night to find my wife curled up on the floor screaming in pain.. knowing my wife's health history. I immediately thought the worst.... called the transplant team and they said get her over to the ER at H.U.P. asap.

So picked her up threw her in the car and off to Philly we go at 9:30pm in the pouring rain to see what was wrong.

After a look over they suspected kidney stones and proceeded to give her lots of morphine but it did not help. She has a high tolerance for pain but this was unimaginable... I mean she was screaming for 3 hours.. finally they gave her another drug along with morphine tolodol I think, and it took the edge off.

After a CT scan their suspicions were confirmed kidney stones. She stayed over night for observation and we got home a while ago, she is resting comfortably now.

I am very relieved now. Everything is cool

Have any of you had kidney stones? I haven't and sure as hell after seeing my wife don't want any that's for sure.

Charlie, Charlie, Charlie,

You're so good at keeping us on our toes when the weather isn't great for driving. Thanks!

Oh, sorry - Best wishes to Michelle. Hope everything clears up and this is the worst of it.

Oh Man Michelle didn't need anything else. She's already had her quota of health issues for this year! I hope all is fine now. I have heard that passing a kidney stone is as painful as giving birth. I hope she is feeling better and your heart is back to beating normally after the scare.

I've had friends who've had them, they tell me it's the most undescribable pain they've ever experienced.

HAHA.. Unfortunatley I am practically immuned to oxycodone (perks), hydrocodone (vicadin), and hydroprofen from having them like candy after an injury sustained in a motor vehicle accident 3-4 years ago.

I'm glad to hear she is ok Charlie!!! You scared me there for a minute. You must have scared the hell out of the transplant team!!

Take Care,
Jim
