Default Lexus IS 250

Hey guys, i'm thinking about getting a new DD. And decided that the car had to have awd, navi, and under 40K. Anywho, I decided on the IS250 but not sure which dealership to go too. Do any of you guys have any recommendations for someone that works for lexus or where I can get a good deal on one? Thanks

Sam

I know you decided, but seriously check out the Acura TL. It's front wheel drive but I used to have one and it was excellent in the rain and snow, and just a beautiful car. Lexus is an awesome company too, I just liked the TL so much more.

Send out quote requests via e-mail first. Negotiate from there.

ACURA TL or RL. Period.

I agree... go with the TL. The type -S is supposed to come out soon too.

Why not a 2nd Gen G35? Had an '04 TL for 4 months; nose heavy, oddly sprung, and the wrong wheels drive it. After driving the S, you'll be underwhelmed.

The G35 is much sportier than the Lexus, and more competitively priced as well. 300 HP, AWD, <$40K.

I would differ with your opinion on the TL. I have an 04 A spec. and it handles exceptionally well. I am not sure on the stock vehicle, but it can be made to handle very, very weel with little cash out. '
As for the G35, I have not driven the Gen 2, but I found the gen 1 to be heavt with a little too much understeer to be a great car. As for quickness, I am not sure of the quickness, but I believe that they use the same engine package as the 350Z touring, and I can tell you that with my TL auto, I cooked a guy in a stick 350 last night, as well as the silly-ass Monte Carlo SS that was on the other side of me. Yes, it was from a traffic light.

I will agree with you on the IS 250, I have driven one (loaner when we had a GS300). Lexus makes nice, numb car.

Maybe it's just me, but after 5 years of RWD cars (BMWs) I just could not hack the TL, despite its feature content and first-rate interior. Most of my driving is twisty back roads, and the TL just couldn't cut it. I gladly exchanged it for the more basic, but better handling G, and never looked back. Sorry, but no performance car is FWD, A-Spec (mostly cosmetic anyway) or otherwise.
