Default Megan Springs....

I saw a good price on ebay for a set of megan springs.

Has anybody ever used these? is it really only a 1" drop?

Also, could I use these on stock shocks, and would I need to get my fenders rolled? My setup up is all stock.

Thanks in advance for the info

i've heard rumors that its a little more than just an inch that it says...i dunno i just don't like megan racing...they're like cheap ass rip off's of mugen products...dunno thats just my personal opinion..

the s2000 in my eyes isn't a civic...you shouldn't put cheap ass products on a car this good in stock form...also if you don't do the suspension right you actually DECREASE performance...be careful what cheap shit you put on suspension wise...cold air intakes are totally different its a freakin tube ya know...suspension pieces actually get abused quite hard...

Megan is so so.

Personally I would get SWIFT or TEINS or SKUNK 2's, even ESPILERS which are said to be the best.

You wont need to roll any fenders or rub at all with a 1'' drop. Only worry about that after 2'' drop.

Its recamemded to change your stock struts, but you can still use them.

frank what about suspension tuning...doesn't changing out the springs without doing the struts totally screw up suspension geometry/performance?

Not totally, but it can. The issue is mostly that the stock shocks are meant to work with a certain stroke range, so placing lowering springs on there will compress the shock more at rest, putting more strain, making them wear out prematurely. Some people have had no problems, other people have had them go quite quickly.

all depends on how much you lower the car.

its given that after market springs are going to be stiffer than stock, so the cars not going to bottom out. the struts should have the proper valving to handle the load. the only problem is that the stock struts will ware faster with after market springs. as long as your not more than about 1.5'' lower your ok. always get an alignment done though
