Default Need ideas

Ive got an 01 s with a blown motor as a result of hydrolock. Theres been a bunch of ideas about where i should go from here. What to replace it with, how, and by who. So im looking for input. Heres the controls in this exoeriment...
-Budget of 10k or less
-Located in philadelphia
-Needs to be street driveable ( not a trailered car )
-needs to run on street octane ( 94 east coast )
-needs to make highway runs (nyc and back)
-not ruling out just droping a stock motor and working on the body
-not ruling out leaving the body alone and droping 10k on the motor ( or motor and turbo, motor and sc etc...)

so, any ideas?

I would like to know this also because my engine smokes at high rpm but only in 5th and 6th gear so im looking to either buy another engine or build the one in my car. But i also thought about maybe putting in the 2.2L. Is the F22C a viable option? How hard is it to swap in? Or does anyone know.

Sorry wasn

Question, how did you hydrolock?

I don't know much about building a motor so I would probably just put a new on in there

Be cool to see some peoples responses though!

call hardtop guy up and get a crate motor

if not go spoon crate motor...why take the risk to have a shop not balance and blue print the new motor, get something all ready built with a recipt...

yeah hardtop guy was an option from the geto go. hes in cleavland tho but thats not so bad. Spoon motors are good but if i was going to go the recit way i would just have laskey rebuild mine. i havnt heard a bad thing about them. i guess hardtop guy and a create motor might be the way to go. i just wanted to try and go bigger i guess

PS> an f22c would pick you up about 10ftlb of tourqe, an 8000 rpm red line, and a better tranny. The swap is bolt in from what ive heard but im saying this on hearsay having never done one

A flash flood would possibly suggest that he submerged the filter under water. No umbrella or drain hole plug will save you in that event.
