Default Need Some Help Delval

So i just got some Teins today. I was reading some stuff today about Half shaft spacers and cv cups etc. I thought they werent needed as long as you were lowering <1.5 inches. But now it seems thats incorrect. I dont want to get into any costly repairs here. But now im scared to throw them on...

It's not needed, you will be fine. Just get a good alignment when you are done and they have settled for a few miles.

Did you get springs or coilovers?

I have a set of used 1/2 shaft spacers available if you'd still like to go that route. I forget the brand T1R maybe or the GT Motoring brand. The spacers are of a 2 piece design and DO NOT require the lower ball joint to be separated.

no offense to any prior posters whatsoever....!!!

i'd say its not "required" but I definately "suggest" it.

they have generic spacers on ebay as well... they are just cnc machined pieces of metal... so there isnt much functionality behind them. I strongly suggest getting them... this site is filled with tons of people that dont work on cars and pay to have other people do their work... that say dont buy them.... I work on cars everyday and have done all the boot swaps from side to side etc to eliminate vibrations and pitting but to be 100% honest with you ive done this axle spacer mod for several s2k's now and I swear by them.... but then again theres a different opinion with every member. if its something you'd like to have me do let me know... pick up synthetic axle grease and i'll swap your axle boots from side to side as well. pm me if interested.... btw I do alignments too.
