Default New to the NJ Area

Hello S2KI Family,

My name is Ryan Parker and I currently moved to McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in NJ and would like to get involved in the community here. I have an AP1 Suzuka that I have turned into a TTC car that is still street legal. I would like to get more track time as well as some autox's here. I currently do not have the car here; I left it in SC till the winter and all cold weather is gone, then I go back to SC to get it. Feel free to msg me or text me 22eight-eight06-1eighteight3 with up coming events. Even if I don't have my car here yet I would still like to hangout with y'all and get to know the rest of the community. This is a picture of my car. I look forward to meeting y'all.

Welcome to the northeast!
We're a really good community as you can see, Brian already offered his car for you to race.
Hope you can make it out on the 23rd for Cheesesteaks in Philly. Bring whatever car you have.

We are karting the prior Saturday night in Allentown, after a day of Tech work from the legendary Billman. That is buried in this thread "Round 7 Tech Day with Billman" That's just a good day to hang out and learn more about the car from Billman with a lot of car enthusiasts.

I too transplanted here from the Carolinas (Charlotte) 13 years ago...my 3 year plan gone wrong. :0

Its fun, you'll enjoy it.

Ok so I will not make it to the meet with Billman I will be on leave in SC to get my car. I will be driving it back so I am a little worried about that but I am sure it will be ok as long as I don't stop to long in VA and don't step on the gas in NJ hahaha

I managed the 9 and half hour drive from Fort Jackson (Columbia) to Trenton in 8 hours and 15 minutes in a 350z on a Sunday night...
The drive is easy if you time it right...
An absolute nightmare if you don't...
The problem area is Richmond north to DC. That corridor can suck at times.
If you are going for an 8 hour trip...slow down when you see a 'median crossover' break in the trees and Waze app is your friend.
Be careful. Be safe

Thanks man and I will time it where I am leaving SC at like 3 to 4 pm so I will hit the DC area at like midnight ish and I don't have cruise control so that will make it fun and you can see my roll bars from behind me along with my 3 inch open exhaust so that makes me a little nervous too.

One more tip (you may be aware of) - no radar detectors in VA...they are SERIOUS about that.

No cruise control? yikes.

Cant you just take the exhaust off? Then there would be no noise, no exhaust=no noise right?

I may have a spare ap2 stock exhaust laying around if you have a way to get it down there. If you want to borrow it I'll take a look for it, let me know. Otherwise good luck on the trip back up, looking forward to checking out your car sometime. Sounds like you went down a route that I am considering with my s.
