Man, an S is my high priority. How I get 12g in 6 months is this... 17 an hour, fourty a week, four weeks a month 2720 take out about 9.7% out for income tax 2457 left, then take about 400 a month out to spend on dinners and movies with the girl... thats roughly 2g a month. 24,000 a year for a 16 year old is damn good considering i'm taking college courses too. But like I said, everything I am doing is completely open to interpretation, and all opinions will be respected. I may be 16, but have respect for people who live lives with success (excluding SLWASFK Just kidding brian. Thanks for your help).
9.7% income tax? anyways, best of luck to you, sounds like you need to find the right path to travel, and Im sure you will.

Good luck, I hope everything turns out as you planned but think about a higher education or enrolling in a good technical school and pursuing a career in that area. Advanced education is the key to long term financial stability and just a high school education or an equivalent will get you nowhere in todays world. I am 63 and when I was your age a high school education was the minimum requried to get a good job. Different ball game now my friend.

so you are gonna make 12g's in 6 months, got a scholarship and you are going to make 100K plus in 7 months? sign me up.
Going to have to say I doubt it.

The average salary without a 4 year degree is somewhere in the 30's. Truth be told, a lot of people talk about xxx job from xxx person but look at it realistically, 100k+ and not even a 4 year degree...highly unlikely.

Also, as some have mentioned, taxes are a minimum of 33%. Also you won't be working 40 hour weeks if you taking a couple college classes (unless of course you don't care about the grade). I have a few friends who work 40+ hours and they can only take one maybe 2 courses otherwise they get to stressed with no free time.

I used to work 60+ hours a week and went to school full time. Its not hard.

I worked full-time and took a full load of courses for a few semesters. Didn't bother me any but the faint of heart need not apply.

I worked 2-3 jobs during college, much more than full time, always with a full course load. Certainly not for the faint of heart, but made me who I am today. Along the way while in school, I had to sell my baby too, a '97 Wrangler Sport 4.0L, fully worked up at that, but I knew that I would get another toy someday

Best of luck to you killship

One thing is... Technical school is a little too... Un-educational. I just dont like the atmosphere. I'm 16. I would rather spend my time in the middle of a scientific theory book or theoretical reasoning debate, etc.

You can make 286,xxx a year as a pilot. That requires four years of licenses to get there, but its possible. I have a very great chance of being a pilot, but I dont like the home life. With my dad as one, that would be a great opertunity for me, but once again, I would rather get paid 50k a year doing a job that i love instead of 286k and being away from a family that i might have and not enjoying it.
