In the end if this sue issue is still coming up and less people are becoming active, then Del Val is going to have to make their own version of a liability waiver to avoid this issue so that we can continue to have fun.
yea thats such a shame. I will offer my services in that if you need a legal liability waiver drafted i can get a simple one done that should do the trick..it helps having lawyers in your family.

so far out of the 3 drives i've been on there has been 1 accident(real small but non the less it was an accident)...i've heard about ejo's frolic off roading too..

i mean shit everyone knows what happened to me the one drive..thank god for reaction time. (if you don't know pm me and i'll paste you link/story)

you take responsibility for your actions..and like frank said if you don't, YOUR OUT!#@$@#$

i dunno i just don't like cops and large groups of fast car's like that. i've seen way too many biker groups get pulled over..have all of their bikes impounded...its bad news. we need to have nice drives where people know there isn't any 5-0 laying in wait.

I was thinking about planning some drives in the lehigh valley but couldn't do it because of lack of good routes and life getting busy...hearing about people sueing other people....and i'm going to assume that someone organized a drive...and a member on that drive crashed the car and is now sue'ing everyone because insurance wouldn't cover the accident or something really super corny...well hearing about stuff like that going on...puts a big big damper on me organizing anything.

i still might but it's going to be a real small lehigh valley run type of drive. only reason i want to now is cuz when i get my car back from having its engine transplanted i wanted to go on atleast one drive this summer for christ sakes. the car was already down for almost 2 months now and i'm sick of it..i want it back NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.(#$%&@(#_$%()*

EJO can you pm me any route info about the emmaus area?

first..sorry this is off topic(not as off topic as i originally thought)...but i just read through the NE forum and found out all of there liability concerns...thats some real crazy sheit...i personally believe that they are making it into a lot more than it should be. BUT....ya never know to be honest....i'm kind of at a loss...

imagine this scenario. you organize a drive with say...just 5 car's...well you have someone on the drive who knows his limits but likes to "go a little fast during runs"....that person screws up driving and smacks their car into another coming the opposite direction and end up killing this womans daughter and seriously injuring her. by all legal definitions...it could be said that they would have never been on that road at that time of day if it wasn't for the organizer actually organizing the drive and leading us down that road at that time. instant liability....its just so f'ing sad how the world works and yea they could argue all they want that they could have been there of their own accord when the accident happened...BUT it doesn't take out the fact that it was the organizer's direct involvement that brought them to that location at that specific time.

see at first i was thinking that it was member's sueing other member's or some corny sheit like that..but when you really look into it and figure out that there is some serious liability for drives then it begs the question of...do you want that liability? and what are you supposed to do? if someone crashes, the group stops makes sure the person is ok..calls 911 if have too..then bounces before the 5-0 shows up so he/she can claim they were driving that road by themselves? who here would leave another member on the side of the road with the possibility of them dying?? HHMMMMmmm is right.

basically the only thing that has been brought up to combat this issue is that you choose who goes on drives with you with extreme care...and same for choosing the drives that you go on...no offence to anyone on these boards..but why do you think there are "secret meet clubs" within each regional forums? close friends get together and exclude guests and the public because they know how each will drive and feel comfortable with such drives with known friends. can't blame them...

what does everyone think here?

edited for warranty liability muahahaha i'm still scared till the car is in my possession.
