Score: 52 to 4.....a sad tale
Guys:
It's almost midnight. Just for fun, I counted the posts today on the MidAtlantic forum [52] versus the post on the Delaware Valley forum [4....2 are mine and 2 are from a DC area guy]. I have to say, WTF is the problem
I have a few ideas, but would appreciate yours
Happy Valentine's Day
Jerry

Here, Jerry. Let me add to your post count. Needless to say, you have a lot of spare time if you're counting posts but I think you'll find that yesterday was a slow day for us in Mid-Atlantic as well.
Would you like me to send some people over to liven the place up?

Thanks to mdb for a helpful comment. And thanks to GG, RH and CB for any comment. It seems that there have been over 66 views to date, but not many suggestions on the observed disparity of participation from one forum to another in our region.
FWIW, here are my observations:
(1) We shoot the sh*t with ppl that we have gotten to KNOW, whether by face-to-face at events or trading PMs.
(2) There are only 10-12 "local" people who have attended our DelVal or MidAtl events; ppl who never show up will miss the fun, and also rarely get "into" the board discussions.
(3) The DV forum has a huge range of ages/ occupations....maybe more diverse than some other forums....so it's harder (takes some WORK) to find a comfortable peer group. If the younger folks get to know each other, there's a good chance for tavern get-togethers and impromptu cruising....lots of fun.
The old adage comes to mind: "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." I hope that more ppl. show up to the MidAtl and DV informal events (like Reese's proposed April drive) in the Spring....and let the good times roll.
Anybody else out there want to throw it their .02?
