SCOTT HONDA WEST CHESTER
People always seem to be looking for dealers so heres my experience at Scott....
I have been looking for a reputable dealer to work on my S for a while. Finally decided to go to Scott Honda in West Chester . I asked them to check valve clearances, change diff fluid (I provided) and bleed and change brake pads (I provided pads). They came up with a total charge of a little over $700
So I agreed for them to just do the work on the valves at a cost of 3 hrs labour which came to $300 incl tax.
After doing a little hindsight research it appears that a reasonable charge would be 1 to 2 hours or 90 to 180 dollars. I argued the point with them but to no avail. The bottom line is I should have done my research prior.
If you are looking for a good local dealer then I think they did a good job and customer service was reasonable but they are bloody expensive.......

I bought my S from Scott and the buying experience was excellent. Negotiations were long but fair. I ended up with a pretty good deal in my opinion. Now, as far as service goes...like you said, they are known to do a good job and customer service is top notch (in most cases i've heard). They are also fairly mod friendly. However, as you've found, they are VERY expensive. I took my car in for the first "complimentary" service check up but i'm looking for other dealers for service.
They did a follow up call me and are sending me 10% off my next overly priced service appointment
I am not going to force the issue with them but will not go back there to get any more work done. I don't mind paying up for piece of mind but not double.
For every one customer they lose through knowledge gained on sites like this there are 100 who have no clue and will pay inflated prices. Bottom line is they are their to make money and from what I could tell - they are not short of business.

Well in this area I had the oppurtunity to use both burns honda and turnersville. Turnersville is horrible at service. Overpriced, no feedback, and lack of care and this is with my civic. Parts Department is fair - not cheap not overpriced. Parts department there is very nice.
Burns service i believe is fair but i did take a civic there 3 times to fix the cruise which is still not 100%. Of course they did the work i paid for but couldnt diagnose the problem i had. Then i show up and go for ride and there it is. Plain as day....how could they not see it. So i left it again another week. said they fixed it apologizd for first week....NOT FIXED. But they tried again, workd for a while but not 100%. By far though they were good to deal with but it seemed as if they cannot get it fixed. I will try again at next service. Burns parts on the other hand is rediculous. Their prices are through the roof. I think they actually take honda retail and add a percentage to it. As opposed to most dealers taking a little off. I mean they wanted $25+ dollars for the stuff for your window seals...Oil filters were quoted over $10....REDICULOUS. I did talk to the one guy once and told him. i was waiting on service and him and manager came over to discuss their high prices. I showed them some examples. they said they would see what they can do but nothing has changed.
So for me it is burns for service when i dont do it myself. And turnersville for parts

I have heard mechanics at dealers say the following:
Yeah I gotta do this tune up, oil change and tire rotation... the labor log says i have 1/2 hour for the oil change, 1 hour for the tune up and 1/2 hour for the tire rotation. Man I do that shit in 45mins!"
So what are you charged... yeah thats right, 2 hours for the work when in reality that amount of time was not spent in actual labor.
I had a great experience at Scott buying my 2nd S, there used to be a dude on here that was a mechanic there and woudl advocate for members that brought their car in... not too sure if he's still there though.
Dealers are notoriously expensive with labor costs...
As for Wickedly bad service: UNION PARK HONDA... STEER CLEAR... I have a very very long story regarding my interaction with them if anyone ever wants to hear it, PM me.

I've only ever delt with Conicelli Honda in this area. I've had my differences with their service dept with a previous Honda product, but overall they have been very fair and have done good work on 3 different Honda's I've owned.
The last time that my S2000 was in there, it was to get the clutch replaced per the TSB. Honda Care was refusing to cover it (to this day, I do not understand why), but Conicelli stepped up and did it no charge as goodwill. When I went to pick up my car, I found that their porter had parked it up against their building, resulting in minor scratches on the paint of the bumper cover. (Literally, my front bumper was up against the wall.) I walked back into the service dept expecting the worst - having to argue with them about who was responsible and how it would be fixed. But to my surpise they went right out, admitted fault, took the car right into their body shop to repain the entire front bumper cover with the honda 3 stage paint for NFR. They gave me a rental without me even asking and told me to come back in 2 days to pick up the car.
Yes, every dealership will make a mistake at some point or another. But it's the ones that will step up and admit they made a mistake, then do everything they can to make it right again that are the good service depts in my book.

anyway, ive been going to Susman Acura to get work done...Revhi goes there and i started to, and they are so nice...
Burns Honda is a bunch of idiots. I went there this weekend trying to trade my S in for a GPW, and all three sales men told me they did not make White s2000's...Its amazing how ignorant some people are...
