Default ...and so I've moved on.

So I've been a stranger to most of you lately. I've been lurking but between craziness at work and going back to school, my time to frequent the boards is limited. However, as of yesterday I'm no longer the owner of James' S2000. I traded her in yesterday on a new 2011 EVO GSR.

Having an S as a DD for the past 5 years has gotten tiring and I felt it was a good time to get something a bit bigger. I also got bit by the torque bug when I drove my friend's tuned 335i. I know, adding FI to the S can help solve the torque issue but it doesn't solve the desire for a larger car. If I could have kept the S I definitely would have, but right now owning 2 cars with 2 car payments doesn't make sense for me.

I can say the Evo is a blast and I've only had it for a day. The fit and finish in the interior lives up to it's infamous reputation, but the S isn't exactly a creak and squeak free interior either. Though there are a few Evo forums out there, I'll definitely stay in touch with you guys. Maybe I'll try to get together a Victory meet soon.

I'll be putting up a "for sale" post with my parts I have at my dad's house. Andy claimed first dibs on my HKS but I also will have an invidia TP, Espilar springs, Voodoo knob, and a set up ap1 rims with fresh winter tires mounted (only saw one season). I'll also have other various ap1 parts i'll be dumping (first to show up and take them, gets them). Stay tuned...

edit: here is a photo of the car. Don't look at the mirror covers for too long or they may burn holes in your retinas!

I believe it's a 63mm that I bought lightly used from another member. It seriously looks brand new. It matches up well with the HKS but I never got around to install it. The same goes witht he springs. I bought them lightly used from another member and was too lazy to install them. It will be a week or so before I can get pictures up as the parts are stored in my dad's garage.

PM's sent with prices. If anyone is interested in the springs, shoot me a PM, otherwise I'll be throwing up a For Sale thread within the next day or so.

Matt, I can't show you guys the car yet. It came with the rediculously fugly chrome package. Other than different lug nuts and wheel locks (which I don't mind), it came with "chrome" mirror covers. It looks terrible. I ordered a set of regular mirror covers that match the body color. Once that's done we can have a meet at victory!

I took some pictures the other day so I'll try to post them tonight.

lol wut - was it new or preowned? can't believe that they would put that on a factory car, or even if it was preowned that someone would want it that way.

Brand new! When the guy pulled the car around I almost packed my stuff up and left. It's pretty damn bad. But all will be resolved within a week or so.

Car and Driver magazine just awarded the Evo X "The Best Handling Car Under $40,000".

It beat out a Miata, mustang GT, VW GTi, 370z, and Mini Cooper JCW. Their only dislike for the car was the interior, which you've called out too. I've driven the Evo X and really liked it.

I hope you can make it to the del-Val run, we'd love to see it. Enjoy!
