26+ over the limit (your 30) is 5 points and up to 60 day suspension

Just fight it and make a deal with the officer at the courthouse.

I've gotten 26+ over 3 times and always got out of points.

What's the big deal with points

I had 4 points from doing 70 in a 30 (one of those bs 30's where everyday traffic does 50 anyway). I just waited the 2 years for them to clear (you clear 3 every year you don't have a mishap)

wow alot diff in jersey........
takes 3 years for your points to clear off of your dmv record

and the big deal about getting tickets/points is your insurance, it makes it go up, with most companies they stay on for 5 years, if your lucky only 3, i belive allstate is 3 most others are 5 though.

insurance points and dmv points are 2 diff things, insurance pts are what kill you.

Dont WASTE money on a lawyer. Just plead not guilty, hopefully when you show up to the court room the cop will speak to you first. If he ask why you are fighting just tell him you could use a llite help.

I've been through this more then once

Also dress nice.

For the love of god dont get a lawyer.

Slow down?

As most others said, try and get the violation reduced. I'm not sure how the judges/cops are in Warwick Twp., but good luck!

As stated plead for a reduction of the points...You dont necessarily need a lawyer, but if you get a local one they often times know the judge and know what side of the bed he woke up on and what he will want to hear. ....all they want is the HUSH money anyway.

get a lawyer, they will prob be able to get you down to a no point ticket and like frank said a higher fine, but your insurance will still go up.
Insurance goes up if you recieve points. Insurance is really only notified if points are issued.

In NJ, 2 points will take 3 years to clear.

You need to drive one full year from the date that a point is issued with no other tickets, and then another full year after that intial date for the 1st point to clear, and another full year with no tickets to lose the 2nd point.

I see, well then plead for less, and don't speed in NJ.

I wonder if we can get a group buy on detectors from some place.
