Default vafc help

hey guys i finally got my vafc from the group buy that went on back in april or may. it's the one that comes imbedded in the radio door. i also got the harness for the vafc. i really want to have it installed and tuned. does anyone know of any good shops in the area that can help me install and tune it? i'm actually in college now but i came back for the weekend. i'll be leaving on monday to go back to new york. if anyone knows of anybody that can help me install it before monday i would greatly appreciate it. or if anyone from the board is close to moorestown and knows how to install the vafc and new radio door i would really appreciate that as well. thanks for taking the time to read my post.

hey jay...i'm not really sure about all the things that the vafc can do but i've heard from many other board members that it can gain around 15hp and it is a very worthwhile mod. here is the apex integration website that describes the vafc...
http://apexi-usa.com/electronics_vafc.asp
and here is the group buy that i was a part of...

if you know of anyone that could possibly help me with this i would really appreciate it...

Did you notice that there are dealers listed on their website? Here is the closest one in PA, which is near Wilkes-Barre not far from the Turnpike/ NE Ext:

Keystone Automotive
44 Tunkhannock Ave.
Pittston, PA 18643
Phone: (800) 233-8321

There may also be one around metro NYC...

hey jerry...thanks for pointing that out to me. i did a mapquest and i found out that keystone automotive is roughly 3 hours away from me. i was hoping to get a board member in the area who has already installed or had one installed for them. i would rather have someone who has knowledge of the s2000 work on my car. also, i don't know if keystone would be able to tune the vafc for me. they might just be a dealer. thanks for the help though.

If you have a harness, installation could not be much easier. It's literally a matter of wiring the harness to the VAFC (takes maybe 5 minutes) and then unplugging the ECU and plugging it into the harness. As far as tuning it, I don't know who to recommend, and I haven't tuned mine yet. I'm using someone local's settings, and like the feel of the car, and I've noticed my mileage is almost 5 mpg better, and my VTEC point is down to 5700. I know it is not tuned perfectly, but I like where it is now. If you already have a harness, I would not pay someone to install it, just to tune it.
