Thumbs up when to switch to summer tires?

i really want to put the summer tires on my car as i've dealt with these winter tires since i bought the damn car and i'm sick of the sidewall roll...i'm thinking i can probably do it within the next month or so but i wanted to ask what you guys thought. i'd rather get the winter tires off as soon as possible because a. i'm ancy and i want to feel good summer tires on the car. and b. i do wanna use these winter tires for the next year or two. i heard if you let it get too warm out the tires tread comes off like nobody's business and you can ruin the winter capabilities if you wear the tread down to much. and i'd assume this would be true as a winter tire with no tread is worthless.

so everyone.... think i should do it mid march? end of march? what about waiting till mid april? i personally don't care that its a little too cold for the tire i'll take it easy until it really warms up. i'm just kinda afraid i'm gonna switch the tires too early and get stuck in a noreaster or what not. i'd rather not be like tim who got stuck on I78 for 7 hours...

I'll be changing over to my volks and SO tires when the temps are 50+ consistently. hopefully by the end march / beginning of april.

I wait until it's consistently hitting 50* in the morning when I go to work. I think I swapped the wheels at the end of March last year. This year I need a new set of rears before I can swap the wheels.

I take the Blizzaks off around the first of April. The snow/ice is usually gone and the temps are hitting 50-60. Last year it was around mid-april. Need 2 new rears this year so first of april is about right time.
