Default who is down to help?

If things fall into place i may be buying a comptech supercharger kit, i have practically no experience with a serious install like this, so bretheren who is down to help if all goes well. Just checking because i'm not going to buy a kit and then pay a mechanic for install... Will buy food and beer

I don't think its an easy install. I heard getting the crank pulley off is a real PITA.

Oh really, didn't know that, I read it's actually really easy especially when compared to the vortech kit. I some searching but couldn't find a write up on the install. Anyone have experience that can assess the difficulty.

does it come with any instructions or are you buying it used with none?

If you have no experience you should definitely get someone who knows how it all goes together. I also heard the crank pulley is a mofo to get off.

I haven't done a supercharger install yet but I would imagine it would be fairly straight forward - assuming you bought a new kit and have all the neccesary bits and pieces.

Everyone complains about getting the crank pully off, so def pick up a large breaker bar

It's a used kit but very organized with every nut and bolt. I'm just on the fence because I don't wanna pay for install, well and plus I only have35000 miles on the car and am unsure how much the s/c will shorten the engine life.

Don't pay for an install. Buy a helms manual - take your time and install yourself with some helping hands. The knowledge you will gain by doing the install yourself is invaluable. Things break when you go FI - but when you know every inch of your engine bay and understand how it's put togther - it's super easy to diagnose/repair problems.

Other than the crank pulley, I think the only other hassle is the fuel line connecting to the FPR. Are you running standard boost, or are you running a smaller pulley for more boost?

it should be an easy install. For the crank pulley you will need the special crank pulley tool and alot of muscle. When I pulled the pulley it took 2 people and a jack handle to break it loose. Other than that the install should be pretty easy.

I was looking to run the ap2 pulley on an ap1 so 7psi. I was told that is the max the kit can handle before ecu and injectors.
