Default windshield price

about a month ago a rock pebble hit my windshield and cracked it, but it didnt spider web. I called the insurance company and they glued the crack to prevent from spreading. still i can see a small crack. I called burns honda dealership today for a windshield+labor estimate and they quoted me $605. i called safelite and quoted me $350. i want a oem honda windshield, but is there any other dealership with a better price? any feedback is helpful.

thanks.

Try Scott Honda in West Chester. I don't have a quote yet but I have to get mine replaced. I checked with Hardtopguy about replacing the windshield and his dealer does it for about $250. No way you should be paying $600.

I had my S about 6 months before i had the first crack. I fought with the insurance company to pay for an OEM windshield ($100 deductible). after talking with a few different people/places I ended up getting the PPG brand windsheild from safelite. 4 years later, the windsheild is doing good and doesn't have as many pits on it... some things aren't worth having a honda logo on it.

I had a local body shop replace mine right after FC with a Honda OEM part and the price was ~$375 with tax.

I have the original glass still. Two chips both taken care of by insurace. I can still see a lil mark but its only if i look closely. Hopefully, rocks don't decide to jump and hit my windshielf

I always thought it was the rake of our windshield that made it so prone to chipping. Two window guys told me, no, glass is just made like crap these days
