Just caught it again on Cinemax...this is one fine movie. I'd rank it among the true sleepers of the 90s. At the time it came out it was lumped in with all the other "Pulp Fiction" rip-offs, but in some ways I think it's better -- the script has more compassion for some of the characters. Plus you get a great, tight plot full of interesting complications and it's fun to watch how everyone crosses paths.
Great cast: Danny Aiello, Jeff Daniels, Keith Carradine, and James Spader, doing what he does best: playing a preppy psychopath. And as a bonus, you also get the mother of all knock-down drag-out battles between Teri Hatcher and Charlize Theron
