Default Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem

I saw it opening day on Christmas.

Plenty of blood, gore, impalement, explosions, good Christmas movie.

I thought it was better than the first AVP. There were several main characters. I wished there was a little bit more character development but how can you expect something like that in a movie like AVP:R.

I give it a 7.5/10.

I would probably rate it about an 8/10. As stated, there was a lot of action but it just seemed incomplete. I just couldn't put my finger on it.

I just heard of it yesterday and then went to see it with a few friends.

Some parts were so b-movie that we burst laughing out loud. That is NOT how this movie supposed to make you feel.

Basically it was terrible. I'd give it a 4/10. The first AvP was better. This was a random WB teen drama with a few terrible fight scenes. Whoever is whoring out the AvP license needs to be smacked around.

So much potential for this franchise, but so far it's been average at best. I was glad that this movie was rated R, and able to up the gore factor (When that boy who was out hunting with his pops got face-hugged, I knew this was gonna be a bloodbath of a movie).

What was up with that ending?

i generally liked the alien franchise and the first predator film was perfect....this stuff is just b movie exploitation, a sequel is a good cheap way to get a story made into film, but not a great movie prescription...i expect anything with lance hendrickson as the star has to be poor (AVP) and this is riding on the coat tails of two good franchises. i will no doubt give it a look when it comes to cable.

I've yet to watch it...but _KNOW_ I will.

I have the quadrilogy and watch it every 3 or 4 months...it's like I get the ALIEN itch... Hmm...that sounds bad...

I still gotta get the first AVP...
