Bowling for Columbine
I've like Moore since '89 - Roger and me. Though I don't agree with his views he does put together an entertaining doc. about weapons. Saw this the other day, should be out on dvd in a few months
too lazy to rewrite what I wrote earlier in a similar thread..
so just cutting and pasting:
"As expected, it's highly entertaining, quite funny, and worth watching.
But Moore's VERY biased way of 'documenting' a subject can get on the nerves of even his most convinced followers (me for example). He takes a few easy short cuts and adapts facts and statistics so that they fit the message he tries to get across. On the other hand he loves asking questions, and of course most of them are very important, and not really raised by anyone else. He doesn't give clear answers though, and the best parts come from some of the really wise people he interviews, not from the moments when his large body steps into the frame (he seems to love that)."
Just reading "Stupid White Men" at the moment - quite interesting I must admit!
