The Constant Gardener
If ya'll are looking for a great conspiracy theory movie, you should definately check out The Constant Gardener. It has Ralph Fiennes, Rachel Weisz, and a bunch of other no names. It starts sort of slow but its a great movie if you are looking for something to go see.
I liked it but was a little disappointed. Story good, acting good, directing excellent, all was just fine except for the pace of the movie. I did not need car chases or explosions or anything but this movie is excruciatingly slow.
I have also just about had my fill with the "pity the plight of poor africa" laced plots. We get it, it sucks to live there.
Anywho, the movie is getting rave reviews, I liked it but if I would have missed it in theaters and caught it on video I would have been fine with it. Just rented "Crash" which I thought was much more entertaining and thought provoking.

Hard to get into such a passive and self-destructive protagonist. The plot itself had nice subtlety and a really well-controlled unfolding. Is it just me or would you also have totally kicked Sandy's ass the last time he sees him?
I was dragged there by a date of mine last Friday.. I went in really disliking Ralph Fines as an actor so I was a bit biased, but I must admit the movie caught and kept my attention. It does jump around a lot so you need to pay attention to the timeline of things... In fact the only thing I didn't like was the camera operator. He should be slapped! By the end of the movie I was beginning to think he had Parkinson's disease.
