The book was great! I also enjoyed Angels And Demons. I hope the movie doesnt suck. So many great books get jacked up they get to the big screen.

*cough* LOTR *cough*

The book was decent, but the film is getting hammered by critics. At Rottentomatoes it has 17% rotten rating. I think I'll wait and not buy into the hype...

I thought it was good, consider that the storyline is more of a mystery type of deal, so in terms of excitement like action movies it's going to be lacking; these type of stories are typically better in text.
As a Catholic, I don't know why theres so much "controversy" around this movie, rather moronic.
It's a good watch, I liked it.

I think the movie is getting a bit of a bad wrap on tomatoes. Its not bad. As a film, it suffers from trying to tell much of whats in the book. It really does an admiral job in staying true to the book.

Anyone who's seen and read any of the Tom Clancy books/movies can atest to movies that use like 20% of the novel. That drives me nuts too.

This one does a decent job in describing the story to non-readers, but includes most of the concepts in the book. For me, it really illustrated what was in the book, for my wife, who never read it, has a decent understanding of the "theory" behind the story.

It will be interesting to hear the reaction from readers vs. non readers.

im in the same boat. it didnt phase me at all. funny thing, after the movie i heard some people talking about how they where offended by the movie i just laughed..

i thought the movie was great. i read the book, and enjoyed it. the movie prob would have been better if i hadnt have known what was around every corner etc. etc. but i thought it was great... and it stayed well on path with the book..... oh and i too also read what the critics had to say about the movie before i saw it... oh and i think the critics are morons... anything "mainstream" is junk to them.... i just stopped listening to what they have to say...
