that was funny when they show people from the U.S crossing into Mexico and they had to shut down the border. What a joke!

Nothing new, but the special effects were pretty well done I thought.

This movie is very similar to Titanic IMO. A disaster with a story alongside. Overall not bad, A-.

The Day After Tomorrow was far from a great film. . .

While the special effects were well done, and the depiction of the "end of the world as we know it" was interesting (though highly improbable as depicted), the plot and dialogue were both extremely weak.

The most interesting aspect of the film is the fact that after the first 45 minutes, the audience sees very little additional worldwide devastation. And the films becomes a cookie cutter "I have to find my [son]" search and rescue film, with the cautionary "we must protect our planet" speech at the end".

Bottomline, if you want to see this film for the scenes of mass chaos, go for it. . . It looks awesome on the big screen. But, don't expect anything from the dialogue or plot. . .

Thinking back on it, I actually found Independence Day a much more entertaining and compelling film and in a lot of ways more plausible (which illustrates how unrealistic this film was).

I'm with Iceman.. it was entertaining.. but I spent most of the time during the movie hacking on it..

and that guy really needed to get his GPS calibrated...not sure why they passed the statue of Liberty on the way there???
