Hancock
Hey Guys,
Well just got back from watching this film. I was very let down. Reading the plot, or at least, the idea of the film sounded original and I thought could make a very good film.
The main grievances i had were:
1.) The second half of the film fell flat
2.) Will Smith's semi-serious red eyes and contrived "call me an Asshole again" line
3.) The whole point of the movie
4.) Music choice
I thought the idea was great. You take a super hero with real life issues, a bit more real life than Spiderman or Batman, and you let him find himself. That part i bought, and was excited to see what the 2nd part of the movie threw at him. When the big life changing thing happened (won't spoil it) it didn't make much sense to me. Like it could have been done on the sequel, after he had fully understood his 'calling' so to speak. At the end of the film, I didn

I found it very entertaining. If I wanted depth and understanding of all the character flaws involved, I would go read a book instead.
My only complaint is that it was a little short. They really had the material to do a longer movie, and LOTR proved conclusively (IMHO) that a long movie is perfectly acceptable as long as it is not just "filler."
I also think that Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman were poorly cast. Uma Therman and Jack Black would have been better choices, just as an example.
I do agree that it was a poor choice in soundtrack.

but failed at pulling it off.
i dont know, it just wasnt all that good as the trailers showed it would be.
It was just OK - fell flat on the second half, the whole Charlize Theron character intro was weak at best (was cool at very beginning like when she threw him threw the wall, etc..).
Thought Wanted was a more entertaining movie.
