Default Hostel

who's going to go watch it tonight?

the movie looks very disturbing but it got a really good rating... b/b+ at most places....

some reviews:
"It's grisly, gory and gross, but the haunting "Hostel" kills the horror competition by mixing actual concepts into its carnage."

"With a style as high as its body count

Pretty disturbing but there was actually more off-camera action than I expected. It was so extreme that it was fun. You could tell it was a fable (in real life this and that wouldn't ever happen). The sets were great.

good movie. it wasnt 90 minutes of blood though, like some people think its going to be. it has a pretty decent story too. highly improbable, but not impossible and still entertaining; thats a hard thing to do with a horror movie. kinda makes you skeptical about leaving the country though, and other countries views of us (Americans). altogether 3/4 stars - due to the lack of 1) corny lines, 2) over-exposed actors, and 3) horrible/boring plot.

hhmm Im going to watch it Sunday. Kinda scary a person can even "think" of this type of action/horror and play it out.

i didn't like it...not what i expected...

this movie got good when the American met the torture guy trying to exscape, and they talked about whether they do it fast or slow...from that point on it was good...

I agree, pretty the good parts you saw on the trailer, the rest was pretty much dull

yup it was first rated "nc-17" so they had to edit alot of stuff out to get it a "R" rating.

so theyll come out with a sequel that during the first screenings people will be shitting their pants, and having heart-attacks. then we'll get, "whats wrong with the makers of hostel 2?" to each his own, but if any of us were in that predicament, i dont think we'd fare as well.
