Wow...... is all I can say.

I saw the unedited version on DVD and I must say it is very violent. I'm into that stuff so it was a pleasant surprise.

I would not recommend this movie to those with weak stomaches as there are some pretty brutal beatings, rapes and torture scenes..

 

Damn, ive been wanting to watch this movie for years. I heard of it 2 years ago, but never got through since i didnt want to buy it. Where did u watch it btw?

there's prequel called "one ichi" came out 1-2 years ago.
manga version is also highly recommended.

 

That was exactly my reaction, wtf... but Tadanobu Asano is badass. He's really good (and normal) in Shark Skin Man Peach Hip Girl.
