Just Rented Silent HIll
I loved the game Silent Hill 2. Heard different things about the movie. Wanted to like it. MY GOD WAS IT AWFUL.
Don't even be tempted to spend your $3-$4 on a rental. Run. Its not worth it.
Most of the movie is just watching people walk around in a town with nothing happening. The story does not even really START until an hour has gone by. The creepy visuals of the game are kind of ruined because the CGI is terrible and looks cartoony many times.
Once the story starts to unfold it is dumb. And the ending is just one giant drawn out special effects sequence that is boring. Nothing in the movie is scary.
What a waste of potentially good subject matter.

after the serious lapse in judgement which was renting and watching bloodrayne, there should be an outlaw against videogame to movie conversions. Tomb Raider is definitely the exception.
