Sorry to be a counter voice, but I absolutely hated the movie. The characters were all hideous people; the fundamental premise (a gorgeous, upwardly-mobile woman would have a one-night stand with a loser like him?) was completely unbelievable;
And either way, its not like it was based on a true story or something. Why should it have to be believable?

There was nothing about that movie that was even vaguely believable--Ben's group of "friends" who managed to live in LA without any money or income, constantly doing drugs, with a totally absurd (in the "stupid" sense) "business plan"; Alison, who clearly didn't sleep around ("You have to have sex to be pregnant") having a one-night stand with an unattractive loser (and then forgetting about it while she had morning sickness); Alison becoming totally schizoid (and, yes, I've lived through the three successful pregnancies of my wonderful wife, so I do understand the hormones thing); Alison's sister, sometimes nice, often a total bitch; her sister's husband, who had to lie about doing fantasy baseball, and then got thrown out by his bitch wife when she discovered what he was doing; Alison, with a perfectly good job, living in her sister's pool house, with absolutely no responsibilities (remember, they were reluctant even to ask her to drive the kids to school). And on and on.
I didn't care at all about any of the characters, or what passed for a plot. There was nothing clever or subtle about the movie. The movie took the better part of an hour to even begin to take shape, but it never achieved more shape than merely being a series of stupid vignettes. There were funny moments, but there was nothing about that movie which I found entertaining for more than a moment.
But that's just my opinion. I like my emperors to have clothes on.
While I enjoyed the movie, I do see what you mean about the swearing.
I am not a prude either but the effinheimer was used just far to much. I drop f'bombs now and then, but when you have one in every sentence you start to sound like a douche nozzle. I don't find that it makes things "edgier" when it is every other word.
Same thing with stand up comedians. Drop an F'bomb once in a while, fine, but if your whole routine is trying to make me laugh by saying "f**k" then it is not going to happen.

I hear alot of ppl saying better then 40 yr old virgin... I don't agree I think they are pretty different in the comedy content and you can't really compare... 40 yr virgin was Hilarious and this was funny as well but to me very different funny then 40 yr old was.
