Default Lone Survivor

Saw this (based on a true story) movie couple weeks ago. It is an excellent movie showing the grittiness of war and the bravery shown by the four soldiers. It was most satisfying to see and I highly recommend it. If you enjoyed Black Hawk Down, you need to see this.

I would give it a 9/10.

Yep I agree. The last 5 mins are tear jerkers w the pics of the actual soldiers killed in battle and the family they left behind. One of the best military based movies I've ever seen

If you watch the making of this movie you will feel bad for the stunt men lol They truly did those jumps from the cliff.. Hope they get paid well cause that looks painful

I need to watch this again. I watched it at a friends house while house/dog sitting.

Just installed a surround sound system for them last night.. wish they had it when I watched it. I'll have to watch it again now.

It was fine except for the hollywood ending that never happened. He was not saved at the last minute by a bunch of helicopters blowing up jihadis. The dude in the villiage hid him until the Americans could pick him up. When you know the true story it makes the big helicopter-firing-rockets taking out the Taliban just in time to save him looks like a bunch of hokey nonsense. But hey, thats Hollywood execs for you!

I would have liked it better if they would have just told the ture story without making some phoney airstrike battle at the end. The actual SEAL (Luttrell) that the story is based on appears as a SEAL extra in several shots during the movie.

You can find a very good 60 minutes piece about him online.
