Default Lost in Translation

Been wanting to see this indie film for a while now, and have to say, it was worth the wait. The motif of being "lost in tranlation" really flows throughout the photography and acting, as well as the music. Bill Murray is great, excellent, as an insomniac lost soul, and Scarlet Johansen (sp?) is really ingenue-ish, someone anybody would fall in love with.

The length was perfect, but the development of the story didn't seem to really go anywhere tangibly. It was such a sleepy film, that the development happens subtly. The highlight was the directing.

Go check it out!

I would like to know what he said to her, when he whispered in her ear, at the end. It was somewhat odd, but I liked it.

I really want to see this too and I'm glad it was re-released...but I'm trying to pick it up at blockbuster...to no avail. I swear they just put up movie covers/cases but dont really have anything in stock. There's about 4 that are within 6-8 miles of my house and they never have anything...not even video games. what is up with that? (guess I'm going to the theatre for this one, if I'm not too late)

This was an excellent film. Just about to buy it on R1 DVD, as it won't be out over here for months yet.

"Automatic Purchase"
No pre-viewing necessary. I fell in love with the texture of the buzz surrounding the film. Well worth it..

My local rental shops claim customers won't return the film. VHS and DVD alike..
