I saw it. Yeah, I know what I said but it was the girlies turn to pick the movie.
It was good. Quite good actually. I thought it was probably the best of the three, but that aint to hard since the second one was just plain bad.
The lovey ending was sappy and lame, but the rest was pretty good. And obviously tries to set the basis for a sequel about the rabbits foot.

MI 3 looks like one of those movie where you know it won't be great but you just have to watch it....because you just have to...if that makes any sense.
I liked it. The pace was blistering. Not much time wasted on transitions. Heavy on special effects but slightly muddy on plot. I was really impressed by all the throw-away sets (cool places that we see for only a minute or two).
So, uh, what was in the envelope Tom got from Laurence at the end? I'm guessing a security clearance for his wife but we couldn't really say.
Slight spoiler question (spoiler for those who can't predict even the easy stuff) -- if you were in management of the IMF organization, do you really think you could take a dump without your every move being watched? So the rogue agent aspect, especially showing up in person near the end, felt weak to me. Same for the phone call to the inside computer specialist. I was slightly disappointed in that I was expecting his wife to have been a long-term counter-agent working for the bad guys. It would have "properly' (as a James Bond fan would see it) resolved the agents-can't-have-a-decent-marriage question and added some punch to Rhames' prediction.

The movie was certainly entertaining and filled with non-stop action. There was basically no plot and the movie moved way too fast for any plot to be established anyways. This one is definately better then the second M.I., but I still think the first M.I. was the best one. I want one of those things that explodes in people's heads!!
