Default Movies today!

Titanic, Heat, Magnolia, Pearl Harbor, Final Fantasy: TSW, you name 'em... today's looooooong/epic movies should, IMO, re-incorporate the "Intermission" allowing patrons to stretch, piss, (check on their beloved S in the parking lot), etc. Maaaaaaan, 3 hour movies are c-r-a-z-y on the nerves!!!

I noticed when watching Gone With The Wind it incorporated an Intermission in the DVD (true to the original movie years ago). While I've watched Pearl Harbor on DVD, I never saw it at the theater -- so it might have done so, but I've not heard of any movies doing this today -- at the theater.

Your thoughts?

yea, I kinda feel ya. You body starts aching and you struggle for the best body position. But it's a small price to pay. I would think the intermission would take away a lot from the movie. They would have to purposefully put non action scenes in the middle of the movie for the break to enter. I mean, you wouldn't like an action scene to be in it's climax and out pops a commercial. I doubt this will ever happen. Keep reaching for the sky though!!

Intermission would rule! A nice little break to go out the parking lot and get baked again No, but seriously...I could care less if there's a long movie that's entertaining. If it's something like pearl harbor or lord of the rings, then yes it's torture. If it's something like blow, braveheart, goodfellas, scarface, then i'd have no problem whatsoever. I think the problem with movies today is that they suck compared to movies of the 80s and early 90s. Everything's gotten too commercial, companies are more interested in making sure a movie stays PG-13 than making sure it has cool and realistic writing behind it.

3 hour movies are starting to become the norm. I always take a piss before going in, and make sure I don't drink anything during the movie. Too bad the movie theatres are losing out on my concession stand money.

When I see someone chain smoking during a movie, I could use an intermission every 15 minutes...its murder I tell ya!

Titanic was definitely worth seeing on the big screen! If it's a 3-hr hit-less wonder, we wait for video.
