Default Munich...

Saw a screener last night. Best way to describe it is INTENSE....man...some of the most realistic gun wound squib action I've seen in any movie. Def. R-rated stuff....some parts are a little slow, but I enjoyed it alot. Definetly going to cause alot of contraversey but, its a very well done movie. Probably just as shocking and thought provoking as Schindler's List IMO

I found it very hard to watch (in a good way), but I liked it alot. Just a warning to those that want to watch this movie. Its NOT AN ACTION MOVIE. Don't go in expecting awesome backflips and John Woo style gun play.

I assume it is the story of the '72 Olympics?

Yup. Well, more of the aftermath. It's more about a a team of Mossad hunting down the 11 Palestinians that were responsible for the Munich attack.

I agree with Saint's review. I don't like how directly Spielberg hits us over the head with the moral issues. I'd prefer just a little more subtlety. It was very intense.

Favorite scene? When Avram ends up sleeping in the closet.

Most "I don't understand" plot item? -- How would you ever trust Papa after he double-books your safe house with a PLO group?

I saw a documentary on the Munich event. IIRC, the Germans "invented" their DSG-9 anti-terrorism force because of how pathetic their conventional police response was to that event.

Thought this carriage was a little drawn out...
Good movie, but definitely could have made it a better movie but cutting the length of the film.
I enjoyed it, but there were parts when I was like can we move on now...
Worth watching.

Finally saw this on Netflix.
-Agreed it's still heavy-handed on the morality.
Geoffrey Rush's performance is excellent.

A Marine friend of mine said this movie best represents the way it feels to kill someone.

I loved the movie -- saw it a few times.

My father was in his 20's and in Beirut when Mossad conducted their night raids. Movie is really well done.
