I agree, I saw the cast and crew screening on Monday at the El Capitain in Hollywood and enjoyed the movie.

Was a tad long (due to the way the story is written it couldn't be avoided) but still had a good swashbuckling time. Don't forget to stay till the very end of the credits for an extra surprise.

But here's my question: Will Turner's father, he was cursed too right? But then doesn't that mean he would have been immortal too? And thus, alive during most of the movie?

 

i think will turner's father was killed before they stole the gold. i think he was against the takeover of the black pearl and after johnny depp was left stranded on the island, the crew of the black pearl, annoyed with turner, killed him shortly after. that's how i remember it...

I thought it kinda dragged at the beginning, then it got better. I didn't know Johnny Depp was that humorous. He played the role very well. I don't think it's the best movie of the year though. It had some corny parts.
