OK this is an old movie, early 80's maybe '82, I only know bits an pieces. The basic plot is a couple of guys want to race some kids in H.S. they think they can win because they are going to borrow one of their dad's car, a gold trans-am(Smokey & the Bandit style). The guys they want to race have a light blue Porsche, the guys joy ride in the trans-am wreck it and need a replacement. They choose some beater and install a bus engine? I hope this doesn't sound too retarded other than the fact that everyone is wearing members only jackets this is all I can recall.

Wasn't Michael J.Fox in that and he drove a 60's dart conv. which was the car they put the bus engine in. The kid who's father owned the t/a was that actor who played the thin man in charlie's angels. Is this the flick?

 

YES......I thought Michael J. Fox was in it, but couldn't be sure. Please tell me you know the name of this movie. At least somebody remebers the bus engine

 

Robb, do you think the movie may be called High School usa? Research turned up a synopsis that is similiar to what I remeber, but it also said Todd Bridges was in it and it was tv movie...
