Agree with the above. The movie was flat out weak. All the eerie feelings were left in the first movie. This movie was just a continuation just throwing things around just to have a second flick... allow the actors to make a few more bucks. To think I was looking forward to the film...

you can tell it's a dumb movie because japan didn't have a "part 2".
Umm..they did make a sequel in Japan, (Ringu 2)

it wasn't good enough for people to know about. Argument: "Part 2" of any movie is never as good as part 1.

This one was not as scary as the 1st, but I thought it was still alright. Nothing great, but nothing else was playing at the time when we showed up at the theater. Too many damn high schoolers in the theater though...it was getting VERY annoying (the manager actually had to come in numerous times and escorted a few of them out; and you know how HS girls are...screaming/shreaking over every little thing just to get some attention).

Yep, not as good as the first in any category, but the death faces were awesome hahaha.

If anyone has any still images of the faces like in the ambulance, or any small clips, I would like to see em heh

they did made the sequel in japan.

in fact they did 2 versions of the sequel,
one true to the original author's book
and the other with screen writer's own.

so i dunno which one american version used.

anyhow,
the both sequel indeed was pretty bad compared to the first one.

but if you guys think ring 2 is that bad,
try reading ring 3.
it's not even horror anymore,
it's sci-fi.
