Default Scariest Movie Character?

After seeing "Blue Velvet" again this week, the impression I formed back in '86 was reinforced: Dennis Hopper's portrayal of Frank Booth is the single scariest thing I've ever seen in a movie.
So who gives YOU nightmares?

um, I don't have any nightmares. I only get scared if I'm awake at night. anyway, I can't remember his name, the guy with the sharp metal claws wrapped around his hands, and he has injuries on his face that seems to be caused by fire.

Rosie O'donnell in that movie where she and Dan Ackroyd go undercover in that sex resort.

Rosie O'Donnell in a leather dominatrix outfit is the stuff of nightmares!

That would be "Nightmare on Elm Street's" Freddy Kreuger.
My favorite is "Halloween's" Michael Meyers.
Although that lady in "Play Misty For Me" is pretty scary.

Of the human variety, check out Joan Crawford in "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane". I was just a kid when I saw it but I still don't ever want to see it again. That's how scary it was.

Of the non-human variety, for me it has to be "Alien" and "Aliens".
